Pago Pago, AMERICAN SAMOA — Students of Siliaga Elementary School in Aoloau were all smiles yesterday morning, when Governor Lolo Matalasi Moliga, several cabinet members, government officials, parents and supporters stopped by to officially dedicate the Puaolele’s new gymnasium.

The ceremony was led by Siauini Ta’ala, program director for the elementary division.

Rev. Semi Tapaleao of the CCCAS Aoloau offered both the opening and closing prayers. The students were the highlight of the event, providing hymns, while First Lady Cynthia Malala Moliga cut the ribbon.

The design of the 40ft x 60ft structure was drawn up by the DPW Architectural and Engineering (A&E) Division while the DPW Maintenance and Operations (M&O) Division carried out the work, which was funded in part (about $67,000) by the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), administered by the Department of Commerce.
