Starkist Samoa production resumes on Monday

Pago Pago, AMERICAN SAMOA — StarKist Samoa has reconfirmed that “normal production” will resume Monday, May 17th. The cannery shut down production this week due to fish shortages.

In a notice to employees, StarKist Samoa said that Fish Room Night Shift/Quality Assurance, is asked to please report to work at 5 p.m. on Sunday, May 16th for “our start-up preparations”.

Fish Coordination is to report to work at 6 a.m. for first shift and 6 p.m. for 2nd shift on Sunday, May 16, 2021. Bus transportation will be available on Sunday.
