Pago Pago, AMERICAN SAMOA — Here is a glimpse of the 125th Flag Day program for American Samoa, set for April 17, 2025.

The week of festivities will kick off on Sunday, April 13, with a church service at the Congregational Christian Church of American Samoa’s Ua Taunu’u Chapel in Kanana Fou at 2 p.m. The public is invited to attend.

The celebration will begin with a flag-raising ceremony for the U.S. and American Samoa flags at Malae o le Talu in Fagatogo, followed by the reading of the Flag Day Proclamation and the traditional ‘ava ceremony.

The program will then move to Veterans Memorial Stadium for the parade and entertainment. Food stalls will be at the stadium.

The Fautasi Flag Day Regatta is scheduled for Tuesday or Wednesday, depending on the weather. Eleven long boats — all local — are set to compete with lanes already picked by the captain of each fautasi.
