Wellington, NEW ZEALAND — From 4 July 2018, visa labels will no longer be issued in passports by Immigration New Zealand (INZ).  All applicants of approved visas will be issued with an electronic visa (eVisa)

An eVisa approval letter includes all visa details and conditions.  A copy will be printed off for the applicant when the passports are collected and it will also be emailed to the applicant (where applicable).

The eVisa approval letter should be kept with the passport at all times when travelling to New Zealand.

While there is absolutely no need to have a physical label in a passport to prove that an individual holds a visa, INZ recognises that some individuals may prefer to have one.  Therefore visa holders can request a physical visa label for their passport, however they will need to fill out the appropriate application form (INZ1023) and pay an additional fee.
