Samoa Parliament replaces Tuilaepa and Leala on committees
The Samoa Legislative Assembly has passed a motion to replace two suspended Human Rights Protection Party (H.R.P.P.) Members who sit on a parliamentary committee with their party colleagues.
The motion was moved by the Deputy Speaker, Mulipola Aloitafua Mulipola this week when the parliament reconvened for its last sitting of the year.
The H.R.P.P. leader and veteran Member of Parliament for Lepa, Tuilaepa Dr. Sailele Malielegaoi as well as the party secretary and M.P. for Faleata No. 3 Lealailepule Rimoni Aiafi are suspended for two years.
In the Finance and Economic Committee, three H.R.P.P. members have been chosen to replace the suspended representatives.
The M.P. Aiono Gafa Tile has been chosen to replace Tuilaepa, Alai’asa Sepulona Moananu will replace Lealailepule.
