Samoa police charge man for alleged brutal bashing of student

Apia, SAMOA — Talamua Online is reporting that Samoa police have charged a man in his mid-fifties for allegedly bashing a student with a timber close to the old Savalalo market last weekend.

The man was identified in social media footage hitting a St. Joseph’s College student with a timber followed by a punch on the face by another male, according to Talamua.

At the same time, another St. Joseph pupil was being beaten by other men within the same vicinity as no one in the crowd tried to stop the attack.

The Acting Deputy Police Commissioner, Afamasaga Samuelu confirmed that Brown has been charged and released to await his court hearing.
