Pago Pago, AMERICAN SAMOA — Pacific Air Charters has taken delivery of the first batch of two P2012s, which will expand its operations in Samoa under the “Pago Wings” brand.

Pacific Air Charters Inc, which has been operating in Hawaii since 2003, has already purchased two Tecnam P2012 Traveller aircraft. This delivery follows the signing of an order for two P2012 aircraft plus 23 additional options.

The P2012 is specifically designed for small, short-haul markets such as Hawaii and Samoa, and the Tecnam Traveller will update the fleet serving these routes.

Pacific Air Charters Inc. is a Part 135 air carrier. Under the terms of its US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Part 135 certificate, Pacific Air Charters/Pago Wings can provide on-demand, unscheduled air services. The airline was recently acquired by the Pago Pago-based Alofa family (Papali’i Lauli’i’ Alofa) who want to expand air services in American Samoa.

The Traveller, which comfortably seats nine passengers with one or two crew, is a new-generation, turbocharged, twin-engine, high-wing, fixed-wing aircraft.
